Ethos Natureza da Serra Beira Interior White Wine 2024
The ‘Natureza Branco’ is the entry-level white wine from Quinta de São Lourenço, which is situated in the Mondego Valley – within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park – at an altitude of around 500 metres. The estate comprises approximately 12 hectares of vineyards. The plot selected for the ‘Natureza’ is planted on granite and was planted with vines in 2013.
The wine is a blend of the three grape varieties Siria, Arinto and Gouveio. Siria provides the floral notes, Arinto the acidity and Gouveio the body and structure. The grapes are fermented together in stainless steel tanks and then mature on the lees in stainless steel tanks for 11 months. After maturation, the wine rests in the bottle for a year before being released onto the market.
A very elegant, light-bodied white wine that strikes a lovely balance between body and acidity. Mineral in character with pronounced stone fruit and floral notes of ripe blossoms. Pairs wonderfully with summer salads, white fish dishes or simply as a wine to savour.

Am Rande des Nationalparks der Serra da Estrela liegt die Quinta de São Lourenço im von karger Schönheit gezeichneten Mondego-Flusstal. Auf 12 Hektar werden aus über 60 Jahre alten Reben die Ethos Vinhos gekeltert. Und der Name ist bei diesem Projekt Programm: Mit minimaler Intervention im Weinberg und -keller, dazu sehr gering geschwefelt; 2025 ist dann auch die Umstellung auf Organischen Anbau offiziell. Es sind kühl gehaltene Tintos und kernige Weißweine, die uns unmittelbar überzeugt haben und auch im Heimatland schon einige Auszeichnungen abräumten - (noch) ein Geheimtipp!
