Dão Red Wine 2020 Grande Villae Tinto
Taboadella’s flagship wine – made from Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz; from granite vineyards at an altitude of 500 metres. Fermented in cement vats, aged for 17 months in French barriques (new and second-use) and finally matured for a further year in the bottle. 3,500 bottles were bottled in February 2024. A red wine with power and unbeatable elegance. Dark berry fruit notes, forest floor, subtle spice and excellent structure. Will certainly age for 20 years.

Im Herzen des hügeligen Dão, Portugals ältester abgegrenzter DOC, liegen die Weinberge von Taboadella. Wie archäologische Funde belegen, wurden hier bereits in römischer Zeit Weine gekeltert; seit dem Jahr 1255 ist das Gehöft bei Silvã de Cima aktenkundig. Auf 42 Hektar, extrem granithaltigen Böden und teils hundertjährigen Rebstöcken entstehen heute konzentrierte Rot- und Weißweine aus den klassischen Rebsorten der Region.
