Belém Pet Nat Lazy Fogaça

Adega Belém Lazy Fogaça 2025 – Método ancestral Pét Nat Extra Bruto

A crisp, sparkling wine made using the traditional method. An Atlantic-fresh Pét Nat, initially fermented on the skins (Curtimenta), aged on the lees for eight months, naturally with no residual sweetness. Made from the Viosinho grape, slightly juicier, with character – orange zest, white peach, citrus and lively hints of green tea. Take care when picnicking in the park – it certainly shoots out of the bottle at quite a pace!

In Lisbon's Belém district – home of the sweet pasteis de nata – David and Catarina purchased an old car repair shop after completing their joint oenology studies, which they spent years restoring into their wine cellar and meeting place. In 2020, the entire harvest was pressed there for the first time. The white grapes come mainly from small plots in Monsanto City Park (but also from the courtyard garden of the nearby university); the reds come from the Alenquer sub-region, north of the capital. They are all hand-picked when the time is right. All wines are fermented spontaneously, at carefully controlled temperatures and with minimal intervention. The cool labels were designed by their daughters Ana Lula and Sofia. Adega Belém is open to interested visitors for tours, tastings or simply a light snack.
