Unter dem Dachverbund Sogevinus Fine Wines verbirgt sich geballte Tradition: Barros, Burmester, Calém und Kopke - ikonische Namen, die das Herz jedes Portliebhabers höher schlagen lassen. Als Shipper ist der Tawny-Spezialist Kopke bereits seit 1638 am Douro präsent, lange bevor die Region ihre noch heute gültigen Grenzen erhielt. Auch Burmester, ebenfalls eine teils deutsche Gründung von 1750, knüpft an ein prestigereiches Erbe an. Seit den 1990er Jahren reüssieren beide Häuser darüber hinaus mit Rotweinen in feinster Douro-Stilistik: voller Frucht, kraftvoll und doch extrem harmonisch.

This Tinto Cão (autochthonous grape variety) from the Quinta de S. Luiz was harvested by hand in the first week of August 2019, brought to the winery in small boxes and carefully selected on the sorting table. After the whole grapes were gently pressed, 80% of the grapes fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and 20% in used barrels. After fermentation, the wine was aged for six months in stainless steel vats with weekly batonage.
The salmon coloured reserva shows slightly floral notes with aromas of fresh, juicy fruit, especially currant. On the palate, its texture, elegance and suppleness are impressive, with notes of smoke that intensify its complexity. It ends in a long and fresh finish.

As an aperitif, with seafood, oily fish, poultry or entirely on its own.
