White Port

White port wines are made from white grapes. Their specialty lies in the different degrees of sweetness, which can also be significantly drier compared to Ruby or Tawny Ports. They are ideal as a chilled aperitif or mixed with tonic, a slice of lime and mint (Portonic). Rather neglected for decades, barrel-aged white ports and colheitas (vintage wines) have recently enjoyed a renaissance.
