Terrantez 1842 Madeira Wine
Made from the white Terrantez grape variety, which, according to the statutes of the Madeira Wine Institute, is vinified as medium-dry or medium-sweet. From an unknown producer, purchased from a private collection in Madeira by the traditional British auction house Bonhams, and acquired by us at auction in February 2018. Fill level 6 cm to the cork. Without a back label, exact details regarding the bottling date, alcohol content, and sweetness level cannot be provided. The rhyming triplet on the front label translates as follows: "The Terrantez grapes / do not eat them and do not peel them / God created them for wine.
