Blandy's Madeira Dry 5 Years Sercial
The Sercial grapes for the 5-year-old Blandy come from vineyards in Porto Moniz, Seixal and Câmara de Lobos at altitudes of up to 500 metres.
After five to six days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the fermentation process is stopped by adding grape brandy, thus defining the desired sugar content.
The Sercial is then aged in American oak barrels using the traditional
Canteiro method and, after several years, is racked, clarified and bottled after blending.
Blandy's 5 Years Old Sercial is light topaz in colour, has aromas of dried fruit, wood and citrus, and scores with a fresh, nutty finish.
This dry Madeira is ideal as an aperitif and pairs well with fish and seafood starters.
Once opened, you have several months to enjoy Blandy's Sercial.
