Blandy's Madeira Medium Dry 5 Years Verdelho
The Verdelho grapes for the 5-year-old medium dry Blandy come from vineyards in Ponta Delgada and São Vicente at altitudes of up to 400 metres.
After fermenting in stainless steel tanks for around four days, the fermentation process is stopped by adding grape brandy, thus defining the desired sugar content.
The Verdelho is then aged in American oak barrels using the traditional
Canteiro method and, after several years, is racked, clarified and bottled after blending.
The 5 Years Old Verdelho Blandy's has a clear topaz colour with a golden rim and captivates with complex aromas of raisins, dried fruit, wood and spices.
This medium dry Madeira is ideal as an aperitif, but also pairs perfectly with soups, game birds and pâtés.
Once opened, you have several months to enjoy Blandy's Verdelho.
