Blandy's Madeira Medium Rich 5 Years Bual
The Bual grapes for the 5-year-old half-dry Blandy come from vineyards in Campanário and Calheta at altitudes between 100 and 300 metres.
After fermenting in stainless steel tanks for around three days, the fermentation process is stopped by adding grape brandy, thus defining the desired sugar content.
The Bual is then aged in American oak barrels using the traditional
Canteiro method and, after several years in the warehouses in Funchal, is racked, clarified and bottled after blending.
The 5 Years Old Bual Blandy's has a clear topaz colour with a golden rim and captivates with complex aromas of dried fruit, wood, vanilla and toffee.
This medium rich Madeira is ideal as an digestif, but also pairs perfectly with fruits, chocolate and hard cheeses.
Once opened, you have several months to enjoy Blandy's Bual.
