Blandy's Madeira Rich 5 Years Malmsey
The Malmsey grapes for the 5-year-old rich Blandy come from vineyards near São Jorge in the north of the island. Malmsey (port. Malvazia) is the most reknown of Madeira`s grape varieties.
After fermenting in stainless steel tanks for three to four days, the fermentation process is stopped by adding grape brandy, thus defining the desired sugar content.
The Malmsey is then aged in American oak barrels using the traditional
Canteiro method and, after several years in the warehouses in Funchal, is racked, clarified and bottled after blending.
The 5 Years Old Bual Blandy's has a golden colour and captivates with complex aromas of dried fruit, caramel, and honey.
This medium rich Madeira is ideal as an digestif, but also pairs perfectly with many desserts and chocolates with more than 50% cocoa.
Once opened, you have several months to enjoy Blandy's Malmsey.

Ich habe diesen Wein das erstemal auf Madeira probiert und war begeistert. Die Begeisterung ist geblieben. Der Madeira schmeckt auch in Deutschland sehr gut. Lieferung und Service waren wieder perfekt.
