A fresh Bairrada Tinto – Luís Patos Baga/Touriga Nacional 2021
The legendary Luís Pato shows what the Bairrada wine region is all about with his entry-level Tinto. Made from equal parts of the wonderful combination of Baga and Touriga Nacional, fermented and aged in steel tanks. Atlantic fresh and lean (with just 12.5% alcohol), slightly herbal raspberry notes. Excellent for any barbecue party, also great slightly chilled in summer. Nevertheless, with a shelf life of at least 15 years, it is extremely durable. And all this for a really small price.

The Pato family has been producing wines in Bairrada since the 18th century. Luis Pato pressed his first wine in 1980 and has since become a pioneer in the region and the undisputed master of the Baga grape. Many innovations can be traced back to him: destemming Baga grapes, aging in French oak, planting ungrafted vines, and so on... Today, Luis Pato has 60 hectares of vineyards on sandy and loamy-calcareous soils south and west of Sangalhos. “For us, producing wine is not only a passion, but also a pleasure.”
