Conceito Legítimo Douro Tinto 2020
Legítimo is Conceitos modern and low intervention take on a classic Douro red wine. The grapes comes from 50 year old vines from the plot Quinta Vale de Cavalos. Harvest is done by hand, and the grapes are directly transported to the winery. Here the grapes are placed in whole bundles in stainless steel tanks, where the fermentation takes place, using only the grapes natural yeast. The wine then ages for 18 months in stainless steel vats before bottling.
Legítimo is a very elegant take on a classic douro blend, with a light color and bursting nose of aromas. Blackcurrant, cherry and blackberry, with a medium full body and complimentary notes of dark forrest berries, spice and green herbs, with earhty notes in the finish. Super well balanced and elegant take on a Douro classic.
A red wine that is well suited to be served chilled (16-18 °C), and for summerseason even as semi cold (12-14 °C). Legitimo is the perfect match for grilled meat, and is complimentary to herb seasoned meats using rosemary thyme or mint.
