A joint venture between Quinta de La Rosa and its chief oenologist Jorge Moreira, located in the heart of the Douro Superior, not far from the Spanish border. The 100-hectare Quinta de Passagem was named after an old, abandoned railway line that once crossed the property, from which you can see Quinta do Vale Meão on the other side of the river. Mainly made from Touriga Nacional, blended with one-fifth Touriga Franca and Sousão, which adds freshness. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 18 months in new and used French oak. A juicy, fruity wine with aromas of red fruits, subtle spice, and a long finish.

2005 gingen die Quinta de la Rosa und ihr Chef-Önologe Jorge Moreira ein Joint Venture ein und erwarbendie 100 Hektar große Quinta das Bandeiras im Douro Superior, dem renommierten Vale Meão gegenüber. Heute sind knapp 30 Hektar mit Rebstöcken bepflanzt. Die 'Passagem' benannten Weine - eine Anspielung auf das Gemeinschaftsprojekt sowie die alte Bergbahnlinie, die der Quinta ihren Namen leiht - zeichnen sich aus durch volle Frucht und Jorge Moreiras unvergleichliches Weinmacherhändchen für Eleganz und Frische.
