2024 Vintage Port from Quinta de La Rosa
Vintage enthusiasts have had to wait a long time for a top vintage, but since 2017 the major producers have been unable to agree on a general declaration. The 2024 vintage now brings this dry spell to an end – the growing season offered almost textbook conditions, and its potential is rated as outstanding by both winemakers and critics.
As tradition dictates at Quinta de La Rosa, the grapes were trodden by foot in the lagar, the wine was bottled in the summer of 2026. Deep, dark fruit meets subtle spice, harmonious and extremely elegant – a light-footed delight.

Einen Steinwurf flußabwärts von Pinhão, am nördlichen Ufer des Douro, im Herzen der Sub-Region Cima Corgo, liegt die Quinta de La Rosa. Über Jahrzehnte war die britische Inhaberfamilie Bergqvist einer der geachtetsten Traubenlieferanten für die großen Port Shipper, unter anderem für Sandeman. Seit den späten 1980er Jahren füllt man auf der Quinta selbst ab: äußerst elegante, etwas weniger süße Ports, und frische, mineralische Rotweine.
