From one of the undisputed best vintages of the new millennium – and made from grapes from the three flagship estates: Quinta de Santo António, Quinta do Cruzeiro and Quinta do Panascal. Incredibly blueberry-like, with plenty of cassis. Also herbaceous, with a hint of marzipan, dark chocolate and liquorice root. Exceptional minerality, extremely full-bodied, with a firm tannic structure. Suitable for ageing for many more decades. Bottled in 2013.
