When it comes to Vintage Port, Quinta do Noval goes its own way: here, a Vintage is declared only when the vintage warrants it – without paying attention to other producers, focusing instead on the quality of the grapes, sometimes for several years running, and therefore always in limited quantities. The 2024 vintage is shaping up to be a great one. Grapes from ten plots, fermented in the lagar, matured for 18 months in the Quinta’s air-conditioned cellars. Dark cherry and wild berries, violets and rock rose, subtle spice and a hint of cocoa. Suitable for ageing for many decades.
