Founded in 1638, this traditional house is a leading name in cask-aged ports. The 10-Year-Old Tawny is a perfect example of this: Red-gold to amber in color; a complex bouquet ranging from spices to honey notes, nuts, and dried fruits; soft and round on the palate, with a silky finish. It pairs well as a digestif with small snacks and olives, but is also excellent with a cheese platter featuring fig jam and quince jelly. Once opened, the port should be consumed within 4 to 6 months. Served slightly chilled, its freshness and delicate acidity come through even better.
