100% Bical, half fermented for six months in Portuguese chestnut barrels.
Vinha Formal smells of vanilla and lemon zest, herbs and orange - with a delicate melting flavour and fine harmony.

The Pato family has been producing wines in Bairrada since the 18th century. Luis Pato pressed his first wine in 1980 and has since become a pioneer in the region and the undisputed master of the Baga grape. Many innovations can be traced back to him: destemming Baga grapes, aging in French oak, planting ungrafted vines, and so on... Today, Luis Pato has 60 hectares of vineyards on sandy and loamy-calcareous soils south and west of Sangalhos. “For us, producing wine is not only a passion, but also a pleasure.”
