The rather unknown Sercialinho grape variety is a cross between the Sercial from Madeira Island and Alvarinho. From a vinyard planted in 1968 by Luís Pato's father. Matured for six months in chestnut barrels, 3500 bottles were produced.

Citrus-fresh, yet perfectly balanced, with straightforward acidity, great elegance and high ageing potential of up to 30 years.

The Pato family has been producing wines in Bairrada since the 18th century. Luis Pato pressed his first wine in 1980 and has since become a pioneer in the region and the undisputed master of the Baga grape. Many innovations can be traced back to him: destemming Baga grapes, aging in French oak, planting ungrafted vines, and so on... Today, Luis Pato has 60 hectares of vineyards on sandy and loamy-calcareous soils south and west of Sangalhos. “For us, producing wine is not only a passion, but also a pleasure.”
