Ethos Natureza da Serra Beira Interior Vinhos da Montanha Branco 2023
Natureza Branco is the entry level white from Ethos, made in their 12 hectares of vineyards in the natural park of Serra da Estrela. The vineyard selected for the Natureza is a younger granite parcel and was planted in 2013.
The wine consists of a fieldblend of the 3 varities growing on this parcel, which are Siria, Arinto and Gouveio. The grapes all ferments together on steel tanks, and afterwards ages in steel vats on the lees for 11 months. After ageing the wines rests on the bottle for a year, before its released.
A very elegant light bodied white wine, that shows a nice balance between body and acidity. Mineral with notable stone fruits and floral notes of elderly flower. A wonderful match for summer salads, white fish dishes, or just as a meditation wine.

Am Rande des Nationalparks der Serra da Estrela liegt die Quinta de São Lourenço im von karger Schönheit gezeichneten Mondego-Flusstal. Auf 12 Hektar werden aus über 60 Jahre alten Reben die Ethos Vinhos gekeltert. Und der Name ist bei diesem Projekt Programm: Mit minimaler Intervention im Weinberg und -keller, dazu sehr gering geschwefelt; 2025 ist dann auch die Umstellung auf Organischen Anbau offiziell. Es sind kühl gehaltene Tintos und kernige Weißweine, die uns unmittelbar überzeugt haben und auch im Heimatland schon einige Auszeichnungen abräumten - (noch) ein Geheimtipp!
