Douro Contraste White Wine 20236 from Conceito Vinhos
The vines for the Contraste Branco grow at an altitude of 600 metres on a small granite plateau in the municipality of Freixo de Numão, around 15 km west of Foz Côa.
Following fermentation in wood and stainless steel with regular bâtonnage, the wine was aged for 8 months in new and used French oak barrels.
Rather restrained on the nose, the Contraste Branco displays greater intensity on the palate, with notes of yellow fruit, slightly spicy aromas and mineral undertones.
