Vinha dos Pardais is the entry level series from Quinta do Piloto. Both name and label indicates the signature of these vinyards, since this is where all the small sparrows "Pardais" look for sweet grapes to enjoy. The wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Fernao Pires.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature, and the wine is bottled straight after fermentation.
A fresh acidic white wine with a nice touch of minerality. Notes of tropical fruits, a slight touch of grape followed up by a green vegetal note. A very well balanced and complex entry level wine

In mittlerweile vierter Generation leitet Filipe Cardoso die Quinta do Piloto auf der Halbinsel Setúbal, im Süden Lissabons. Unfern der Kreisstadt Palmela, die der für ihre Castelão-Tintos berühmten DOC den Namen leiht, richtete Filipe das Familienunternehmen 2008 neu aus. Frische und Eleganz sind die Kardinaltugenden dieses Weinmachers, der seine verrückte Seite wiederum mit der hauseigenen Kamikaze-Linie auslebt. Die süßen Moscatels hingegen, Klassiker der Region, wissen durch außerordentliche Finesse zu überzeugen.
