Als Önologin verdiente sich Joana Pinhão bereits in jungen Jahren ihre Sporen am Douro, bevor es sie 2015 zurück in die Heimatlande am östlichen Tejo-Ufer im Norden Lissabons zog. Auf Kalk- und Lehmböden im Familienbesitz gedeihen hier neben einigen portugiesischen Klassikertrauben auch internationale Renommeerebsorten wie Chardonnay oder Pinot Noir. Joana setzt auf niedrig gehaltene Erträge und hohe Qualität. Dabei eint alle Weine von Casal das Aires ein Bekenntnis zur leichtfüßigen Frische. Für ihr Projekt Parapente wiederum nimmt Joana weitere Weinregionen wie den Vinho Verde oder Trás-os-Montes in den Blick - stets auf der Suche nach dem klarsten, essenziellen Ausdruck, den das jeweilige Terroir zu bieten hat.
