PORTUGAL
Now in its fifth generation, the British-Portuguese Symington dynasty is one of the few names in the Douro region synonymous with the highest quality port wine. The family banner unites venerable houses such as Dow's, Graham's and Warre's – a heritage that comes with a responsibility. But new paths are also being taken, for example in the joint venture with French Bordeaux legend Bruno Prats, who produces a top-class international wine at Quinta da Roriz with his Chryseia.

This bottle is too young and will be a great treasure after another 10+ years.
Tasting date 8 Feb 2024 A very deep color, solid cork and a slightly thick/good viscosity. This is a solid wine with too many bold and distinct flavors. I would recommend letting it age another 15-20 years too smooth out the sharp notes. The nose is floral, berry, light acidity and pungent alcohol. The front starts with floral, black currant and dark chocolate. The middle has a lot of contrasting flavors; mostly berries, chocolate and coffee. The finish is a smooth and lightly floral, and tannin flavor. I score this; 87/100. In 10+ years this wine will most likely be a 91 +/- 1.

Jetzt schon super elegant
