More than a hundred different grape varieties can still be found on the Douro. Of the approximately 80 varieties approved for red port and wine, predominantly five (in italics in the table) are used in new plantings.
The "Weingalerie - Wines from PORTugal" was founded in 1986 and is regarded as one of the leading specialists for Portuguese wines in Germany.
Port and wines from the Douro are a focal point of the range.
